As we reported earlier in the week we had our suspicions that an announcement from Sony regarding the PS3 launch was imminent, we also reported on a speculative release date, and it turns out we were right!
Sony today announced that the PlayStation 3 will launch across Europe on the 23rd of March 2007, and will set you back €599, or £425 in the UK. That price will get you a 60GB version, as Sony have decided not to ship the 20GB unit at the European launch.
Sony also reported that 1 Million units will be available for the launch along with a line up of over 30 different titles such titles as Ridge Racer 7, Resistance: Fall Of Man, Motorstorm and many, many more.
