Channel 4 this week signed a new deal with Pathé Distribution Limited, which will secure the future of some of the very best of British and International films for Channel 4 and its various other digital channels.
The new deal allows Channel 4 to broadcast the collection of films on Channel 4, E4, More4 and Film4. The deal also includes a number of terrestrial premieres including the Oscar-winning 'Crash' and Roman Polanski’s 'Oliver Twist'. Channel 4’s commitment to showing home-grown British film is reinforced by the following titles which will see there first terrestrial showing: The Descent, Neil Jordan’s feted Breakfast on Pluto and gangster flick The Business.
The deal also includes the rights to a strong collection of library titles that features celebrated independent films such as The Blair Witch Project, Swingers and Memento, and award-winning foreign titles including House of Flying Daggers and All about My Mother.
