Sony BMG has exclusively revealed that the BRIT Awards Album 2006 will now be available to download in nearly its whole entirety — for the first time ever in BRITs history, as well as compilation album history. Fans will be able to download the album from 13 February 2006 from the official BRIT Awards website, brits.co.uk, to coincide with the release of the album, which hits the shops the same day.
This unique step adds to the excitement already surrounding the BRIT Awards Album 2006, which is being released in the Dual Disc format to allow listeners to watch the videos for the fantastic selection of tracks featured. The best of the BRITs nominated artists — Kaiser Chiefs, Robbie Williams, KT Tunstall, Coldplay and many, many more, will now be able to be accessed online as well as in the shops — and truly makes the BRIT Awards 2006 an event to remember and one which will go down in it’s history.

The BRIT Awards 2006 with Mastercard will take place on February 15 2006 at Earls Court, and the organisers are set to honour the celebrations with a specially extended show broadcast the following night on ITV1.
