The Babyshambles/Libertines front man, Pete Doherty has been sentenced to 12 months of community service in court today. The London court was discussing the charges he faced for possessing drugs. Doherty pleaded guilty to the offenses.
The judge warned Doherty that if he was found to still be abusing drugs, he would be brought before a court again and may face a jail sentence, which in Pete's case could be a maximum of seven years.
Doherty was stopped by police in London last year, and heroin and cocaine were found in his car. He was stopped again four days later, when police found heroin, morphine, crack cocaine and marijuana in his car.
Doherty was again stopped by police in London on Jan. 26, when he was found to be carrying heroin. He pleaded guilty to seven accounts of possesing drugs.
