EA reduce PSP support @ 12 August 2006 02:13 AM
David Gardner, EA's VP & COO of the companies worldwide studios recently revealed that EA will shift it's concentration onto developing more titles for the DS from Nintendo, and pulling support from Sony's PlayStation Portable.
David Greener informed UK press paper MCV that he belives Sony cannot afford to sit back, and the company needs to address the performance and price of the multimedia gaming handheld.
He also went on to comment on EA's initial thoughts on the system and it's performance and how that has changed: "There's no doubt that EA has historically bet more on PSP, I think we were excited by the technology, but the consumers have proven that actually what they want is fun."
Specific details on what this shift in concentration may mean for PSP gamers isn't clear, but Mr.Greener made a point of informing us that more innovative DS titles were on the way: "We must never forget that what we need to focus on is fun and so EA is putting more effort behind DS games, and creative ones that really take advantage of the hardware."
